Obituary of Jeffrey Bonar

Jeffrey "Jarrin" Bonar, 23, of Melbourne FL. passed away suddenly and went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 27, 2020.

Jarrin was born in Melbourne on June 28th 1996. He is the son of Jeff Bonar and Michelle McCalla (fiancé Tony Diana) and the brother of Jaden Bonar, who he loved dearly.  His maternal grandmother is Barbra McCalla and his paternal grandparents are Joe & Judy Bonar.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dr. Jimmie McCalla and his paternal great grandmother Gertrude Rataiczak.

In addition to his immediate family, Jarrin said goodbye to his cousins Derek Bonar, Faith Bonar, Tony Bonar and Parker Gregory. Uncles Jon Bonar, Jason Bonar, James McCalla and Tom Luikart. Aunts Joy Bonar, Sandi Bonar, Jenny McCalla and Hattie Luikart.

Growing up, Jarrin attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, where he received the President’s Bronze volunteer service award when he was in the 4th grade. He also attended DeLaura Middle School, Satellite High School and Melbourne High School. Jarrin was attending Eastern Florida State College and thriving in their welding program.

Jarrin loved Jesus! He was a proud member of First United Methodist Church of Melbourne where he attended Sunday School and Church while growing up.

During his childhood, Jarrin was involved in Scouts and played on numerous sports teams.  He enjoyed surfing, skating and camping out, especially the annual Disney camping trip with our Sunday School friends.

Jarrin loved his family dearly and cherished family vacations with all his cousins, aunts, uncles & grandparents. He also loved spending the holidays with his extended family playing games and sharing a good laugh.

Jarrin loved the beach and hanging out there with his many friends. He always put others before himself and had a tremendous amount love for everyone. He always tried so hard to make sure everybody was happy and having a good time.

If Jarrin had a final message for us all, it would probably go something like this- Weep not for my passing, but instead laugh and reminisce about the good times we've shared. Let's try and remember all the good times. God Bless you all.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care of Melbourne. Times and dates are not set due to the Covid-19 restrictions currently in place.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you may consider making a donation to First United Methodist Church of Melbourne, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Habitat for Humanity in Jarrin's name.
