Obituary of Carolyn S. Carroll

Carolyn S Carroll (née Laughlin), age 79, passed away peacefully in her home in Cocoa Beach, FL, on July 2, 2020, with her husband and family by her side.

Carolyn was born September 6, 1940 to the late Emma (Hankins) Laughlin and Wilbur Laughlin in Anderson, Indiana.

She graduated from St Mary’s High School in Anderson.  She met and married the love of her life Gerald Carroll, on June 10, 1961 and they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to start their family.  She loved her family with all her heart. In 1983 they moved their family to Cocoa Beach, FL.

Carolyn enjoyed raising her five very active children, dancing with Jerry, Elvis and Blondie music, camping trips with her family, arts and crafts with her grandchildren, laughing, taking pictures to capture memories, animals, and shopping.  She never met a stranger and hers was the house that all her kids’ friends came to when they needed to talk to a ‘second mom’.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her husband Gerald, her children: Julie Carroll, Cyndi (Bud) Ayres, Rob (Michelle) Carroll, Jennifer Carroll, and Tim (Lisa) Carroll; as well as her dearly loved grandchildren: Samantha, Madison, Mason, Matthew, Taylor, Bailey, and Sierra.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her six siblings.

Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Cape Canaveral Hospital, Hospice of St Francis, and Health First Private Duty.  You all made her wish to pass away at home possible.

My dear Carolyn, our love will keep us “Together Forever” ~ Love, Jerry

Until we see you again, Grandma... “We Love You More!”
