Ruth Irene Rushing
Avon Park, Florida
Ruth Rushing, our Earth Angel, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, August 22. 2020 at the age of 85.
A petite southern lady whose life shone brightly, colored with kindness and strength, was born in Cedartown, Georgia on November 24, 1934 to the late Carlton Thomas Givens and Sarah Estelle Wallace Givens of Rome, Georgia.
She championed her family and everyone she came in contact with. During her last 15 years she valiantly battled against Parkinson’s Disease. Ruth held on to her life and her family with the strongest bonds of love. She has now left our world to know total, unconditional love and light. Although physically away her spirit remains bright in our hearts.

Rushing; sons and daughters in law Tommie and Donna Rushing and Doug and Jennifer Rushing of Melbourne, Florida; daughter and son in law Angie and Fred Ferguson of Avon Park, Florida; grandchildren Sam, Wesley, Amelia, Alysse, Fred Jr. and Chet; great grandchildren Addie, Elaina, Lowell, Harley and Lily; sister Kathryn Rigdon of Rome, Georgia; sister in law Betty McPherson of Mebane, North Carolina; daughter in love Mary Ellen Pittman of Malabar, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
